Caber Saffron is the epitome of quality in terms of fragrance and flavour.
The sachets have a double wrapping to preserve its original qualities.
The threads come in glass jars with an ‘aroma preserving’ hermetic seal to maintain its fragrance intact.

There are three levels of purity according to the ISO 3632 standard and they distinguish the quality of Saffron according to bitterness (picrocrocin) and colour (crocin).
The first level represents the maximum level of quality.

Our Saffron powder and threads are ideal for risottos, pasta or for garnishing meat, fish, tofu, vegetables, seitan and other types of dishes.
For best use of our Saffron threads soften them in a little stock or cooking water for a few minutes (even up to 15 minutes for optimum results) crushing them with a teaspoon.
Add this highly fragrant golden liquid to your dish when you have almost finished cooking to obtain a unique flavour and colour!

Spaghetti con zucchine, gamberetti e zafferano
(dosi per 4 persone)

  • 400 g di spaghetti Caber
  • 4 zucchine medie
  • 2 vasi di gamberetti Caber
  • dado per brodo vegetale Caber
  • 2 bustine di zafferano Caber
  • 1 scalogno
  • olio Extra Vergine di Oliva Caber
  • Presal® sale iodato protetto GROSSO e FINO Caber
  • Macina pepe nero Caber

Lava e spunta le zucchine poi tagliale a rondelle sottili.
trita lo scalogno e fai soffriggere nell'olio in una capiente padella antiaderente poi aggiungi le zucchine e cuoci per 8/10 minuti. Sala verso fine cottura.
Stempera lo zafferano in 2 mestoli di brodo caldo, scola i gamberetti dalla loro acqua poi aggiungi il tutto alle zucchine e fai asciugare il brodo a fiamma vivace per 5 minuti circa.
Cuoci gli spaghetti in acqua salata con Presal® grosso, scolali al dente e fai saltare in padella insieme al sugo.
Servi in tavola spolverizzando con una grattugiata di pepe nero.
