Salamoia Bolognese® was born in 1968 from founders Franco Berti and his wife Franca Caravelli’s idea to put "in jar" an ancient Italian traditional recipe, commonly used and very appreciated in the kitchen: salt with aromatic herbs.
This mixture was once expertly prepared by housewives to flavor meals with chopped fresh herbs and sea salt, that was crushed using a glass bottle.
Now as it was then Salamoia Bolognese® is still prepared by us following the tradition, using advanced machinery and automated production lines.
We like to think that in Italian kitchens and tables the Salamoia Bolognese® jar can join all generations.
Grandmother has always used it as a "secret" ingredient in her Sunday roast, in mother's fridge it’s a must to give that "extra touch" in sautée vegetables and the younger ones carry a jar of Salamoia Bolognese® in their backpack on Saturdays for BBQs with friends.
